I lost my survivors’ password. What do I do now?

Open the app and log in with your user name and password. Now you can change the survivors’ password on the secure page.

 

What operating system do I need?

The iPhone/iPad version requires iOS 9.0 or later. The app is compatible with the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. The Android app requires version 4.0 or higher. 

 

Is the app free to use?

Yes, the app is free to use.

 

What is the advantage of the app?

By answering the questions in the app as clearly as possible, you will answer a lot of important questions that your next of kin may have. You can change your answers to the questions in the app at any time, so your information is always up-to-date. 

 

Where can I download the app?

You can download the app from the App Store or the Google Play Store.

For whom is the app intended?

The app is intended for everyone with access to the Internet with a tablet or smartphone who wants to unburden their next of kin. After the death of a loved one, surviving family members have a lot to process in a short amount of time. Help unburden your next of kin and document all your wishes in the app. Saying farewell is already hard enough.

 

Can I always adjust the information in the app?

Yes, you can. The app is designed in such a way that you can adjust the information in the app as often as you want. These adjustments will be stored and are immediately visible in your app.

 

I have adjusted my information in the app. Is this directly visible to my next of kin?

Yes, these adjustments are also immediately visible to your next of kin. Please note that your next of kin must have a valid survivors’ password.

 

I have several funeral insurances. Can I add them all in the app?

Yes, you can. You can include these in the space reserved for them.

 

My address list is on paper. How do I get it in the app?

There is a possibility to store photos in the app. By taking photos of your address list and adding them to the app, your next of kin will be able to see your address list. Don't forget to mention this in your answer.

 

There is a question in the app that I can't or don't want to answer. Do I have to answer this question?

No, you don't. The app does not oblige users to do anything. If there is a question that you can't or don't want to answer, you can leave this question open.

 

I answered all the questions in the app. Is everything set up now?

Well done! You have given your next of kin a lot of clarity. However, it's important that your next of kin also have access to this information. Don't forget to give the survivors’ password to one or more family members/confidants.

 

Is the Last Wishes app a legal document?

No, it is not. The Last Wishes app is purely informative for your next of kin. Filling in the Last Wishes app gives no guarantee that your last wishes will be carried out.

 

I want to register as a donor. Can I do that through the Last Wishes app?

No, that is not possible.

 

Why am I not allowed to enter PIN codes on the secure page?

Listing PIN codes is always discouraged, even for the benefit of your next of kin. A PIN code is associated with an account and personal. Disclosing a PIN code to third parties can lead to misuse. NEVER enter a PIN code in the Last Wishes app!
